Understanding billing for customers signing up with Credit Card
Customers subscribing to Lyve Cloud using a credit card are charged every month based on the previous month’s usage. These accounts are charged based on the minimum storage commitment of 250TB every month.
If the usage is less than 250TB, then the charge is for 250 TB (Minimum committed amount).
For example, If the customer has an actual usage of 100 TB for the month of January 2023, then the bill generated on February 1, 2023, is charged for 250TB. The bill generated will be for 250TB times $9 per TB =2250 plus taxes, if applicable.
If the storage usage is higher than the minimum committed usage (250TB), you are charged for the actual usage.
For example, If the customer has actual usage of 300TB for the month of January 2023, then the bill generated on February 1, 2023, is charged for 300TB. The bill generated will be for 300TB times $9 = $2700 plus taxes, If applicable.
For months where the trial ended, or the account is cancelled, the charge is prorated based on the trial end date or the cancellation date.
For details on how prorated charges work, refer to Charging for the first month and Charging for a cancelled account(add cancel example)
